Self Storage Manager - Editing, Syncing & Deleting Promotions & Discounts

SpareFoot can automatically sync in the promotions and discounts that you have listed in your Self Storage Manager software. Before we do this, you'll want to be sure your promotions and discounts are set up properly in your software. 

Setting Promotions

Promotions are short-term special offers such as "1st Month Free!" or "Free Lock!" SpareFoot will display your promotions based on the text you have added to the "Description" field in your SSM software. To add promotions, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Login to Self Storage Manager.

Step 2: Navigate to "Maintenance" then, "Discounts".

Step 3: Add the Promotion Details and Description

Remember that SpareFoot will display your promotions exactly as you have them written in the "Description" field shown below. You'll want to be sure that consumers can easily identify all the terms and conditions of your promotions.

Step 4: Send us a request!

Once you have set up all of your promotions, just send us a request letting us know you are ready to sync your promotions with SpareFoot! We will do a little back-end magic in our system and will confirm with you once your promotions are up! Each hour, we will sync with your software to be sure your promotions remain up-to-date on our network.

NOTE: Self Storage Manager does not allow you to assign promotions to specific channels (SpareFoot vs. Facility Website). To set your promotions on SpareFoot manually, please visit this article.

Setting Discounts

As opposed to promotions, discounts are long-term (6 months or longer) special rates such as 10% off or $20 off. SpareFoot will display your promotions based on the discounts you have added to the "Internet Pricing" in your SSM software. To add discounts, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Login to Self Storage Manager.

Step 2: Navigate to "Units", then "Unit Types", then "Internet Pricing".
Here, you can enable, disable or edit your discounted prices. Discounted prices can be added as either a fixed amount or a percentage. Keep in mind that while SSM does offer other ways to apply discounts to your units, "Internet Pricing" is specifically for your customers that reserve online or through the SpareFoot network.

Step 3: Double Check your Discounts on SpareFoot
SpareFoot syncs for changes to your prices, including discounts, once each hour. Therefore, your discounts may not appear right away on your listing. If you'd like to sync your promotions in right away, just send us a request!
