Non-Integrated Accounts: Add, Edit, or Delete Photos

Marketplace

Your MySpareFoot account allows you to upload new photos, delete old ones, and to set a profile image for your facility listing.

NOTE: This article is for users who haven't integrated their SpareFoot account with web-based storage management software (like Sitelink, Storable Edge, etc.). The interface for integrated facilities is slightly different and is covered in this article.

1. Log in to your MySpareFoot account.

2. Navigate to the Features page.

3. Click Upload Photos.

We recommend 3-5 high-quality photos of your facility for optimal listing performance on our network. Of course, 5 is not the maximum - you can add as many photos as you like! That said, too many photos of varying quality can actually hurt your listing's performance, so we advise aiming for quality over quantity.

When it comes to size, your photos should ideally be between 1 and 3 MB. The maximum size is 5 MB per photo. To avoid appearing stretched or off-center, your photos should be formatted within a 5x3 ratio and at least 535 pixels wide by 330 pixels tall. SpareFoot supports JPEG, PN,G and GIF photo formats.

Remember, our terms of service prohibit photos that display your facility's direct phone number or website. If you would like us to edit or upload a photo for you, simply email photos@sparefootsupport.com with your facility name and address, and attach the photo. We'll get it added to your listing right away!

4. Upload your image(s)

Keep in mind that your photos will display in the order you upload them. To change the order of your photos, simply delete them and re-upload them in the order you want them to appear.

Your photos should publish to your listing within a minute. If you've just uploaded a new photo and don't see it on your listing, wait about 30 seconds, then refresh your screen.

5. Set your profile image.

Profile images are the main "cover" photo customers will see when viewing your facility listing in SpareFoot's search results, so you'll want to choose a photo that best represents your facility and makes the strongest first impression. Though you can select any photo you'd like, most facilities choose to use a high-quality landscape photo of their property's storefront. We also recommend sticking to photos of your actual property; logos, generic stock photos, or photos of employees tend to be less appealing to customers, and may result in your listing getting passed over by a potential customer.

To set your profile photo, simply scroll to the image you'd like, hover over it, and then click "Make this the Profile image". You may also follow these steps to "Delete" any outdated photos or photos you might have uploaded accidentally.

Once you've set your profile photo, it may take up to 15 minutes to publish to our website.
